What is Malika and why is it important?

 What is Malika?

Generally, Malika is a collection of several books written by several renowned people and great souls. It was written by the devotee of Lord Jagannath, Achuyatananda Das five hundred years ago. He wrote around 1lakh and 85 thousand books in his whole life. He was a divine person with a great personality. The five intimate friends of Lord Jagannath were Achyutananda das, Balaram das, Ananta, jasobanta, and Jagannath das. They are all referred to as " Pancha Sakha", Odia Pancha Sakha means five friends. When they found humans losing their character day by day, they wrote Malika by the instructions of Lord Jagannath to protect the human civilization from the upcoming catastrophe. Achyutananda was one of them. Excluding them, several great souls wrote Malika. These sacred books were written around 1500 AD in Palm leaves. 


Before reading Malika we should know the importance and benefits of reading a holy book like Malika. Is it necessary for the current generation? Why one should read it?

You can see the current generation we live in is the worst forever. People don't act the way they should. It seems the evils or demons rulings over the world and there is no peace at all, there is chaos all around the world. Do you think is it a good sign for you and your upcoming generation? It is written in Srimad Bhagabat Gita that God incarnates when he finds there is an imbalance in the earth, poor being exploiting and dominating by evil powers. The main purpose of Malika is to guide people on the path of truth and nothing else. All are written in Malika what a person should do and what should not.
